Stillness and Sound
Myofascial Release, Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath
Saturday, 10th of October from 3:30pm to 7:30pm
The Barn, Hidden Acres, Malahide
It was only a few hours, but I walked away feeling more refreshed than after a full week's vacation.
Dziuga, April mini-retreat
Leave your shoes and worries at the door.
After a warm welcome and a cup of tea, we'll open the mini-retreat with breathwork and slow, gentle movement. Then a break to reflect and enjoy artisan teas and baked goods. As the evening draws in and the room softens into candlelight, you’ll drift away into relaxation with Yoga Nidra and sound bath.
Disconnect from the world outside, tune inwards, and be surrounded by beautiful female energy.
ArriveBreath and Gentle Movement
Arrive to a cup of tea and a warm welcome. Nothing is expected of you and there's no rush.
Then we ground ourselves and release all tension with a myofascial release and breathwork session (working with the body’s connective tissue as well as muscles).
Whatever your experience and ability, you'll be looked after. Everything is optional, including lying down for the whole thing.
By the end of it you'll be looser, taller and breathing more slowly than when you walked in.
Facilitated by Ana Stefan — founder of Vitéra, Yoga and Pilates teacher, Breathwork and Stretching Coach
ConnectCoffee, Tea and Treats
A proper pause in the middle, while the movement is still settling in your body. Coffee, artisan teas and baked treats.
Take your time over it. Sit quietly with what's just shifted, wander out into the garden, or fall into conversation with the women around you. Some come with a friend, plenty come on their own, and nobody stays a stranger for long.
The connection is our favourite part of these events. The smiles, the chats, the treats and the sound of the fireplace — pure joy.
MeltYin Nidra and Sound Bath
It’s time for complete surrender. Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, is a guided meditation you do lying down. It settles your nervous system out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest — the state your body repairs in. You'll come out of an hour of it feeling like you've slept half the night. The bolster, blanket and lavender eye mask will keep you cosy as you drift away to the sound of singing bowls, chimes, drums and bells, played around you while you lie still. You'll feel the sound as much as hear it, the thinking quietens, and you'll leave loose, clear-headed and calm well into the next day.

"This was my first time to attend a Vitéra event. Ana has curated a very talented team, of extremely creative and original thinkers. Every detail has been perfectly planned, from beginning to end. It has been a while since I have enjoyed a yoga class so much, Ana is the sort of teacher you search for, totally authentic and caring. I felt energised, and totally at ease by the end of class. A perfect day!"

"I went into this mini-retreat not knowing what to expect I was met with a hug and that instantly put me at ease. It was a gorgeous morning for self care the meditation and movement were exactly what I needed and beautifully presented. It felt extremely safe and warm the space to let go and just be in the moment. Will definitely be attending more of Vitéra's events."

Do I need any yoga or movement experience?
1
Not at all. The movement is gentle, inclusive and suitable for everyBODY, whatever your experience, body type or fitness level. Our facilitators will guide you throughout and always offer options for different bodies and abilities.
What should I wear?
2
Something comfortable you can move in — layers are a good idea, as you'll want to be warm and cosy during the restorative practice at the end.

Just yourself. We provide yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, blocks and eye pillows for the restorative session, water and snacks.
Is there parking at Hidden Acres?
4
There is limited parking at the venue, but you can park next door at the Garden House. We will send you an email with more details one week before the event.
Can't make this date?
We run these mini-retreats a few times a year. Join the retreats waitlist list and you'll hear about the next one before it goes public.
